DESTINITY
is coming from Lyon and was created in 1996 by Mick (voc), Morteüs (keys
& clean voc) and Zephiros (Guitare). Shortly after, Chris (drums), Jim (Guitare)
and Ben (Bass) joined the band.
In September 1999, DESTINITY released its first album titled "Wepts From
The Sky". This self-product album helped them to be introduce in the underground
scene and to particiapte to various compilation. It was distributed by labels
like Adipocere, Holy Rec, and some other around the world...
DESTINITY recorded its second self-product album called "Supreme Domination's Art" during 10 days at the Plaza Rec . The band signed a deal in october 2000 with malaysian label Psychic Scream Ent. The album is available in Asia since may 2001 and in Europe in july 2001 thanks to Adipocere...
In september 2001, Lord D.D replaced lead guitarist Jim. In spring 2002, DESTINITY signed a deal with Adipocere records for the release of their 3rd album named “Under The Smell Of Chaos”. This time, DESTINITY choosed to record in Germany at the famous Kohlekeller Studio, with producer Christian Kohlemannsleiner. The album was finally released in february 2003. The press welcomed greatly the album (ref : 5/6 Metallian, 7.5/10 Rock Hard...). DESTINITY played gigs all around France & Belgium as headliner also as guest for bands like Cradle Of Filth, Rotting Christ, Immolation, Furia, Anorexia Nerovsa, Ancient or Your Shapeless Beauty. DESTINITY did also their first french tour in may 2003, with Enthroned, Seth et Agathodaimon and ended the year with some festivals…
In november 2003, Hrafnagud joined the band as new bass player. DESTINITY entered Sonovore studio at the beginning of january till mid-february in order to record their fourth album with Mickael Vallesi (Furia’s guitarist) as producer. The mastering was done at the Blue studio in Lyon and the whole lay-out was conceived by Steeve Petit. (ex-singer of No Return) This album titled “In Excelsis Dementia” is certainly presents a new musical orientation for DESTINITY who includes more death-metal elements on its songs. The album received excellent reviews from mondial Metal press...
After the departure
of Lord DD, DESTINITY composed again songs, mainly by Zephiros who have taken
back his lead guitarist position. DESTINITY recorded the new opus in july and
august 2005 at the famous Hansen Studio in Denmark with Jacob Hansen as producer
(réf : Aborted, Illdisposed, Hatesphere, Raunchy, Invocator, Yyrkoon,
Iniquity, Soul demise, etc…).
The DESTINITY’s style will be more and more present with the new album
titled “Synthethic Existence”. The band succeed greatly to share
all its musical influences, adding a big touch of Thrash-Metal. The result is
incredible !!! Be ready for the new DESTINITY.
In august 2005, DESTINITY fired Hrafnagud and Tyraël for relational reasons. Morteüs left the keys to go back on the drums and a new bass-player is welcomed..
“Synthethic
Existence” is released in early september and will be followed by a lot
of concerts in France, Belgium, Switzerland and Italy..
